RESEARCH AND TEACHING LABORATORIES

Our department has two laboratories equipped with the latest technology and used exclusively for education and research purposes: the Hearing Laboratory and the Acoustics Laboratory.

These laboratories are designed to allow students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical application. Within the scope of courses such as Audiological Assessment I: Behavioral Tests, Audiological Assessment II: Electrophysiological Tests, and Professional Practice I and II, students receive hands-on training from their second year through their final year. This training includes patient reception and case history taking, physical and otoscopic examination, immittance measurements, behavioral testing, electrophysiological testing, and simulation-based applications for hearing aid and implant programming.

OUR HEARING LABORATORY is equipped with all the necessary technical infrastructure for learning behavioral and electrophysiological measurements in audiology, as well as hearing aid applications. In addition, the laboratory includes a classroom with a capacity of 60 students, equipped with a closed-circuit video system that allows students to observe practical applications.

In these laboratories, students gain professional experience before entering the field through hands-on practice, observation, and simulation-based evaluations. This approach ensures the training of audiologists who combine a strong theoretical foundation with practical experience.

OUR ACOUSTICS LABORATORY is a research and application laboratory where practical components of sound physics and acoustics courses are conducted, noise measurements are performed, speech tests are developed, and various acoustic studies are carried out.
